Activity 1:today i am going to tell you a poem about how i feel about when i first arrived at shag point.1

1.I'm just running around like a mouse

And i was thinking am i sleeping in my house

2. I just arrived at a island

And all my friends said that i farted

3.When i am sea sick

Everyone says that smack talk and i whack them with a stick

Activity 2: i´m going to talk about matariki

1.what i like from matariki is the dances

2.We have celebrated matariki at our school glenbrae and i like all the songs and mostly the food.

3.I would like fireworks Because it looks very super and amazing when it blows up in the sky.





Bonus Activity:As part of the Matariki festival, there is a two day Kapa Haka competition. The haka is a traditional war dance that Maori performed before going into battle. The haka is now performed by children and adults in the community and by professional sporting teams including our national rugby team, the ‘All Blacks.’  The All Blacks have performed various haka over the years. Watch the following three haka videos (1 – 3) and, on your blog, list the haka videos in order from best (1) to worst (3). There are no right or wrong answers ☺
