Activity 1:Welcome back guys and girls to winter learning journey!.Today i am going to talk about Farewell Spit and Picton.This is where the ferry dropped them off to a beautiful beach called Golden Bay.Farewell Spit is a straight sand spit at the northern end of the Golden Bay South Island of New Zealand.The picturesque seaside town of Picton is the South Island base for the ferry service that links the main islands of New Zealand. It’s also the gateway to the marine, forest and island attractions of the Marlborough Sounds. Built around a very sheltered harbour the town has an attractive seafront dotted with cafes and restaurants and various types of galleries.
Activity 2:This story was about in the olden days the man waited for a leader to be born. Which one will travel on a whale's back and his name was Paikea. Paikea had a special born baby about to become chief. They were waiting for a son but the boy was a girl. As that girl got older she wanted to become the chief but she was a female which only boys can be chiefs. She trained almost everyday and she will become a whale rider and a chief.
Bonus Activity:Hector’s dolphins one of the smallest dolphins in the world Hector’s dolphins grow to 1.5 m in long.This dolphins are rare to find and there is not that much left because the dolphins swim in the fisherman's net and get caught and they eat the dolphins for breakfast,lunch and dinner so i think they should band this madness
