Nice work on this activity. You’ve come up with some really great descriptive sentences for each summer treat. I didn’t know what otai was before today, so thanks for teaching me a new word and a great summer treat I’ll have to try on the next hot summer day. That ice-cream bouquet looks amazing and really tasty.
Fiona here from the SLJ team. You have done an amazing job creating an eye-catching slide of your delicious summer treats - ka pai! Your selection of foods made my tummy rumble!
You have really stepped it up by using a variety of shapes to display your pictures and by creating callouts to write about why you like these foods. I really like the way you used words like ‘extraordinary’, ‘enlightens’ and ‘explodes’ to make your writing really interesting to read. Do you have a favourite ice-cream flavour? Mine is strawberry at the moment!
To add to your blog, you could write a description of the ‘Tastes of Summer’ activity and add a bit more detail. For example, you could give your blog a title, add what you learnt by doing this activity, what you enjoyed, and what you found challenging. I would love to know this and I'm sure your other blog readers would too!
