A safe home for snails

There are not many flax snails.
They collected some flax snails.
Flax  snails have babies.
They find them.
Rats, pigs and thrushes eat lots of flax snails.
They put them in a safe home that is dry but not damp.
Flax snails’ favourite food is karaka leaves.
They feed the flax snails with the karaka leaves.
Flax snails like damp places.
They dug a shallow hole and put the flax snails in the shallow hole.
Flax snails are good at hiding.
They put little machine on the flax  snail's shell to help find them.
